 we went to a friend’s house yesterday where there were 3 tired mamas and 11 children.  and many swapped clothes (first round of “keeping for the next baby” clothes given away – and feelin’ fine about it!).  and i hit a hat sale on the way there, to boot.  i got a bunch of [...]

i’ve seen this on others’ blogs and i loved it.  it will be a work in progress, added to as i think of new stuff. 
collecting cicada shells with my cousins, hearing their songs in the evening.  chasing lightening bugs ”there’s one!”  “where?”  “there! no, wait.  over there!”  hearing whipporwills as the sun goes down.  watching turtles lay [...]

why, yes, there is. 
my phone has been shut off and yet…
here i am looking at the cyberworld.
and the upstanding citizen that i am?  yes, i am still using the internet.

you start planning what times you must be in front of the tv for when premiere week starts.
you plan the kids’ naps around what time you will put them to bed.
you start dinner at 4pm.
you start baths at 5:30pm.
you have all three bigger children in their beds by 12 minutes until 7pm.
you make the necessary quiet-down-or-i’ll-seperate-y’all visits [...]

there is a 7 part special airing on pbs.  it’s a new world war 2 documentary by ken burns.  my honey and i watched the first in the series last night.  awesome.  if you can catch it – watch it.
